Newton Bar Council Depot, Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Wakefield council were experiencing problems with unauthorised access of vehicles outside working hours at its depot at Newton Bar.
SDS Security Posts installed five OPTI 90 Heavy Duty Square bollards which, being fully telescopic, allow vehicular access during office hours but form an impenetrable barrier when in the raised position; restricting access to unwanted vehicles and the associated problems.
The bollards are fitted with a lift assist mechanism which reduces the operating weight by up to 70%.
The installation of the bollard system has increased the security of the site significantly but at the same time remains inconspicuous during the day.
